1. Is Chrome License Plate LTA approved?

Frankly speaking, no, it is not approved.

As quoted from OneMotoring regarding license plates:

"Vehicle licence plates normally have white letters and figures on black background for both front and rear of a vehicle. However, if the vehicle licence plate is made of reflex reflecting material, the front licence plate will consist of black letters and figures on a white background, and the rear licence plate will consist of black letters and figures on a yellow background."

However its a very gray area. Most of the time they close one eye on it. I myself had personally sent my car for inspection twice (once for approval of aftermarket exhaust and another for 3rd year inspection) with Chrome License plate, and both times they never take any action against me (touch wood!). As for TP on the road, so far cross path with quite a number and none actually stop me or pull me over before (touch wood once again!).

So its a risk vehicles owners have to take. The Chrome Club will not be held responsible for any license plate related offense committed by vehicle owners.

2. I travel to Malaysia frequently. Is Chrome License Plate allowed in Malaysia?

My advice to those who go into Malaysia often, do not get a Chrome License Plate. Not that I don't want to do your business, but I have known people who went in with Chrome License Plate and find themselves running into trouble with the local TP.

Of cause, what they are looking for are actually kopi lui (coffee money). Unless you feel like donating your RMs, please do not enter Malaysia with Chrome License Plate.

3. My ride is an OPC (Off Peak Car), can I do a Chrome License Plate?

Are you kidding? An OPC is an OPC.
The Chrome Club will not entertain any order of a Chrome License Plate from an OPC.

4. I don't want a Chrome License Plate, I want white/CF print lettering on black/CF print/insert your own colour background license plate.
